Evenings built around a table, a question, and the people who show up.
Explore experiencesWe make games and evenings that turn interesting things into good conversations. Art, books, maps, history — the stuff worth talking about with other people.

Why we exist
Most of what is interesting about the world is already here. It sits in the corners of libraries, in the margins of old catalogues, in the second paragraph of a plaque nobody reads to the end.
We are not trying to teach anyone anything. We are trying to make a room where noticing is the point — where a small, unnecessary fact is worth an hour of conversation, and where being wrong is part of the fun.
Everything we make begins with the same question: what would make a curious person lean forward?

Wait — go back to that one.
The moment a room decides it isn't finished with a question yet.

I have walked past this a hundred times.
Familiar things, looked at properly for the first time.

No, no — I know this one.
The particular joy of a fact you didn't know you were keeping.

We stayed two hours after it ended.
What happens once the game is over and the talking isn't.
Things we've noticed
People remember the question longer than the answer.
A good fact is one you repeat badly to someone else the next day.
Curiosity is louder in company than it is alone.
Nobody has ever been bored by a very specific detail.
The best conversations start with somebody admitting they don't know.
Attention is the most generous thing you can give a room.
