We make curiosity playable.

We make games and experiences that turn even trivial, 'uninteresting' things into good conversations. We believe every being and thing around has a remarkable story; a new way of seeing is all we need to uncover those.

After a quiz night at Kadhaigal in Sahakarnagar, Bengaluru

Why we exist

Most of what is interesting about the world is already here. It sits in the corners of libraries, in the margins of old catalogues, in the second paragraph of a plaque nobody reads to the end. And sometimes, in our kitchens, office drawers, shoe racks, and even candy wrappers.

We are not trying to teach anyone anything. We are trying to make a room where noticing is the point - where a small, unnecessary fact is worth an hour of conversation, and where being wrong is worth even more chatter. :)

Everything we make begins with the same question: what would invoke curiosity in someone?

The things we create

What it feels like

In the midst of answering!

Wait - go back to that one.

The moment a room decides it isn't finished with a question yet.

Don't shout out the answer

I have walked past this a hundred times.

Familiar things, looked at properly for the first time.

Reading the rules of our new card game

No, no - I know this one.

The particular joy of a fact you didn't know you were keeping.

No joy like competing with your gang!

We stayed two hours after it ended.

What happens once the game is over and the talking isn't.

Things we've noticed

  • People remember the question longer than the answer.

  • A good fact is one you repeat badly to someone else the next day.

  • Curiosity is louder in company than it is alone.

  • Nobody has ever been bored by a very specific detail.

  • The best conversations start with somebody admitting they don't know.

  • Attention is the most generous thing you can give a room.

No joy like building a community
